Teenager Wanner signs with Eindhoven from Bayern
Teenage forward Paul Wanner has signed with PSV Eindhoven until 2030 from Bayern Munich's junior side, the German club confirmed on Friday.
Eindhoven paid a reported fee of 15 million euros ($17 million) plus bonuses, with Bayern inserting a buy-back clause into the deal.
Wanner, 19, joined Bayern's youth academy in 2018 and made his Bundesliga debut for the club just after his 16th birthday, but would only go on to make just eight competitive appearances for the Bavarians.
Sporting director Max Eberl made a veiled criticism of Wanner on Thursday, saying Bayern only "wanted to work with players who are keen to become Bayern Munich players".
Wanner's departure was approved despite Bayern losing several forwards this summer, including Kingsley Coman, Leroy Sane, Thomas Mueller and Mathys Tel.
Bayern striker Harry Kane made a rare public criticism of the club on Saturday, saying the "thin" squad was "probably one of the smallest I've every played in".
