Theory Wellness Opens Second Ohio Dispensary With Community-Focused Grand Opening in Columbus
10% of opening week sales to benefit Mid-Ohio Food Collective
COLUMBUS, OHIO / ACCESS Newswire / June 5, 2025 / Theory Wellness, a leading cannabis company, today announced the official opening of its newest non-medical and medical dispensary in Columbus, OH. The new retail location at 3905 Sullivant Avenue is the company's second retail store in Ohio. Theory marked the occasion with a ribbon cutting ceremony hosted in partnership with the Columbus Chamber of Commerce and the Mid-Ohio Food Collective.
"We're proud to deepen our roots in Ohio and look forward to providing a great experience at our new location in Columbus," said Theory Wellness CEO Brandon Pollock. "With 10 percent of our opening week's sales going to the Mid-Ohio Food Collective, we hope to demonstrate that we're more than just a cannabis retailer, we aim to be a meaningful community partner."
The Mid-Ohio Food Collective is the largest hunger-relief organization in Ohio, serving more than half a million people each year across 20 counties in central and eastern Ohio. The event underscores Theory's commitment to giving back to the communities it serves while making legal cannabis more accessible and welcoming to all.
The Columbus Chamber of Commerce co-hosted the ribbon-cutting ceremony and welcomed Theory's community-first approach.
"We're proud to support businesses like Theory Wellness that are intentional about giving back from day one," said Derrick R. Clay, President and CEO of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce. "Their investment in Columbus reflects the kind of inclusive growth we champion - where business success and community impact go hand in hand. Partnering with the Mid-Ohio Food Collective sets the tone for the type of responsible leadership we welcome in the Columbus Region."
The new Columbus location will offer a full selection of cannabis products - including flower, concentrates, edibles, vapes, and beverages - while upholding Theory Wellness's signature focus on customer service, affordability, and product variety. Building on its entry into Ohio's medical market in Sherwood in Northwest Ohio, and its early expansion into non-medical sales, the Columbus opening reinforces Theory's ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality cannabis experiences and investing in the communities it serves.
Theory Wellness Columbus is located at 3905 Sullivant Ave, Columbus, OH 43228. Customers must be 21 years or older with valid ID. Regular hours are 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily.
