Fraxion Extends Its Reach into Inventory Management with Acquisition of Yellow Dog Software
Acquisition expands Fraxion's capabilities beyond procure-to-pay with established inventory management, while extending its reach across hospitality, sports, food and beverage, and retail.
SEATTLE, WA / ACCESS Newswire / September 30, 2026 / Fraxion, a procure-to-pay (P2P) platform for mid-market organizations, today announced it has acquired Yellow Dog Software, a Norfolk, Virginia-based provider of inventory management software for the hospitality, sports, food and beverage, and retail industries. The acquisition, which closed September 23, 2026, expands Fraxion's capabilities beyond procure-to-pay and strengthens its ability to serve inventory-intensive mid-market organizations.
This is Fraxion's second acquisition since Main Capital Partners invested in the company in May 2025, following its acquisition of Centreviews, which expanded Fraxion's accounts payable capabilities. The transaction builds on Fraxion's partnership with Main Capital Partners and their shared vision to broaden the scope of the platform and manage more of the processes connected to business spend.
The combination brings together Fraxion's procure-to-pay platform with Yellow Dog's established inventory management solution, creating complementary capabilities for organizations where procurement, inventory, and operating costs are closely linked. Yellow Dog serves customers across hospitality, sports, food and beverage, and retail, including resorts, casinos, stadiums, restaurants, universities, clubs, and high-volume concession and retail environments. Its platform is used by more than 900 customers across 1,600 venues and more than 20,000 outlets.
Fraxion has built its offering to give mid-market organizations the flexibility to start with the capabilities they need today and expand as their requirements evolve. Its platform brings together purchasing, expenses, accounts payable automation, payments, and spend analysis in one solution. With the acquisition of Yellow Dog, Fraxion adds inventory management capabilities, expanding the range of customer needs it can address and laying the foundation for a more comprehensive, end-to-end offering over time.
What this means for customers and partners
Continuity. Yellow Dog Software will continue to operate from its Norfolk, Virginia office. Customers of both companies will see no disruption to their current products, implementations, or support relationships. Looking ahead, the combination creates opportunities to connect Fraxion's procure-to-pay platform with Yellow Dog's inventory capabilities and expand collaboration across their respective partner and technology ecosystems.
A broader view of the spend lifecycle. Going forward, the combination of Fraxion's procure-to-pay capabilities and Yellow Dog's inventory management capabilities can give organizations greater visibility across the processes that influence procurement, inventory, and operating costs.
Expanded vertical value. Yellow Dog brings established relationships across hospitality, sports, food and beverage, and retail, giving Fraxion the opportunity to support organizations with complex purchasing and inventory needs. These inventory-intensive environments create a strong fit between the two companies' complementary capabilities.
A broader integration ecosystem. Yellow Dog brings more than 130 point-of-sale and 300 total third-party system integrations. These complement Fraxion's integrations with major ERP and accounting platforms. Together, these capabilities provide organizations with greater flexibility to connect the systems that support their procurement, financial, and operational processes.
Leadership perspectives
"Managing spend is about more than controlling what an organization buys. It's about visibility from the purchase decision through to what is received, used, and on hand. Yellow Dog extends Fraxion's capabilities beyond procure-to-pay into inventory management, adding greater visibility into the downstream impact of purchasing decisions. This gives organizations more context to manage inventory and costs, identify opportunities to reduce waste, and make more informed decisions," said Stanton Jandrell, CEO of Fraxion.
The two companies also share a strong commitment to the organizations they serve and to helping their clients address evolving operational needs.
"For nearly two decades, our mission has been to make inventory management easier for the companies that depend on us. Joining Fraxion gives us an opportunity to extend that mission into procurement and help customers gain greater visibility across the processes that connect purchasing and inventory, while continuing to provide the solution and support they know and trust," said Jay Livingood, CEO of Yellow Dog Software.
