ALEX BODI AND GERMAN CONGLOMERATE INVEST IN 166 APARTMENTS IN HALLE
Romanian entrepreneur Alex Bodi and his partner, an internationally active German conglomerate, have formalised an investment in 166 apartments in Halle (Saale) before a notary in Berlin. The investment amounts to a seven-figure sum in euros. The notarisation took place at one of the most prestigious law firms with a notarial practice, located on Berlin’s Kurfürstendamm.
The partners are therefore investing not only in building a property portfolio in the Federal Republic of Germany, but above all in preserving, renovating and upgrading the properties.
Confidence in Germany – especially amid economic transition
The investment comes at a challenging time for Germany as a business location. High energy prices, high interest rates on property loans, rising construction costs and substantial bureaucratic burdens are making conditions more difficult for businesses and investors. The economic recovery is currently progressing very slowly; at the same time, Germany faces profound structural challenges.
Alex Bodi and his German corporate partner nevertheless remain committed to their investment. The entrepreneur has confidence in Germany’s underlying economic strength and believes that the current challenges do not call the country’s potential into question.
Against this backdrop, Alexandru Nicolae Bodi says he finds Saxony-Anhalt a particularly attractive investment location – especially following the most recent state election. This confidence is reflected in the substantial investment, which is intended to benefit the state of Saxony-Anhalt in particular, as well as the city of Halle (Saale), its housing stock and its residents. The partners’ decision therefore reflects a long-term business perspective that extends beyond economic fluctuations and day-to-day political debate.
Cooperation agreement with CRIF on KYC, AML and KYB
Another aspect of Alex Bodi’s business activities is his cooperation agreement with the international information services provider CRIF in the areas of KYC, AML and KYB. (https://www.crif.de)
In this context, KYC (“Know Your Customer”) involves identifying customers and verifying their identities. KYB (“Know Your Business”) involves checks on companies, their ownership structures and beneficial owners. AML (“Anti-Money Laundering”) refers to measures to prevent money laundering. These procedures are intended to support transparent assessments of business relationships and help identify risks at an early stage.
The cooperation with CRIF thus adds an essential element of due diligence to Bodi’s business activities in the Federal Republic of Germany: the systematic screening of customers and business partners, alongside safeguards against money-laundering risks.
International experience, tangible local commitment
The German conglomerate brings around 30 years of business experience to the partnership, along with an international presence in locations including Hong Kong, Zurich, Dubai and Singapore. Its cooperation with Alex Bodi extends beyond real estate to the development of ALPHA WHEY and BODI Energy Drink.
This is complemented by extensive business activities involving professional diode lasers and aesthetic devices produced by the German manufacturer ALIX-LASERS for the cosmetics and beauty industry. (https://alix-lasers.de)
For the development of ALPHA WHEY and BODI Energy Drink, Alex Bodi has also entered into a cooperation agreement with Prof. Dr. Dieter Lazik of the Slow Medicine Research Institute in Potsdam (in the state of Brandenburg, Federal Republic of Germany). According to those responsible for the project, Lazik is to provide scientific guidance for product development. The planned work includes expert assessments of the formulations and of data relating to raw materials and finished products. ALPHA WHEY is also currently undergoing extensive independent testing under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Lazik’s institute as part of the product release process. (https://www.slowmed.de)
The housing project in Halle (on the River Saale) gives this cross-sector partnership a concrete focus in Germany. Following notarisation, the priority is a clearly defined task: to upgrade the housing stock and preserve the fabric of the buildings over the long term.
For Alex Bodi and his German corporate partner, the project also reflects their approach to business: even in a challenging economic environment, they remain committed to Germany as a business location – not merely through words, but through tangible investments and action that will benefit the German state of Saxony-Anhalt in particular.
