Arizona Tribune - Sri Lanka 83-2 after India enforce follow-on in second Test

Sri Lanka started their innings 213 runs behind after their first knock folded for 290 in the opening session.

The home side reached 83-2 at lunch, still needing 131 runs to make India bat again.

Pasindu Sooriyabandara, on 35, and Kamindu Mendis (10) were batting at the break.

Lahiru Udara was caught at deep fine leg for three off pace bowler Mohammed Siraj for the worst possible start.

Kamil Mishara, who added 58 runs for the second wicket with Sooriyabandara, was trapped lbw by left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja for 32.

Sooriyabandara rode his luck, surviving two chances after being dropped on 17 and again on 22.

Earlier, Sri Lanka lost their final two wickets early in the first session, with Sonal Dinusha scoring 103, after resuming on 265-8 following India's 503-9 declared.

Dinusha made his second hundred of the series before being the last man out, dismissed by debutant spinner Saransh Jain.

He reached three figures in style with a pull shot off Prasidh Krishna in front of square.

But in the next over, Jain provided the breakthrough when he dismissed Lahiru Kumara for his maiden Test wicket.
