ABGi USA Strengthens Energy Incentive Services with Carbon Capture and Clean Fuel Tax Credit Capabilities
Expanded capabilities support businesses pursuing investments across energy, manufacturing, emissions reduction, and emerging technologies
HOUSTON, TX / ACCESS Newswire / September 23, 2026 / ABGi USA has added carbon capture and clean fuel production tax credit services to its growing portfolio of energy incentives, extending support to businesses undertaking a wider range of energy and decarbonization projects.
The additions include the Carbon Oxide Sequestration Credit, Section 45Q, and the Clean Fuel Production Credit, Section 45Z. Together with ABGi USA's existing capabilities in clean energy investment, advanced manufacturing, and clean hydrogen incentives, the expanded portfolio allows the firm to support projects across multiple stages of the energy transition.
Section 45Q provides performance-based tax credits for qualifying facilities that capture and store carbon oxides rather than releasing them into the atmosphere. Depending on applicable requirements, qualifying projects may generate credits for up to 12 years after a facility is placed in service.
Section 45Z supports qualifying production of low-carbon fuels, including biofuels and sustainable aviation fuel, with potential credit value tied to verified lifecycle emissions.
These additions build on ABGi USA's broader energy incentive capabilities, which also include investment tax credits for qualifying clean energy technologies under Sections 48 and 48E, production-based incentives for qualifying domestic manufacturers under Section 45X, and credits for low-emission hydrogen production under Section 45V.
The value of these incentives can vary significantly depending on the type of project. Some may help reduce the effective cost of a capital investment, while others are tied to production, emissions performance, or qualifying activity over multiple years.
For businesses evaluating new facilities, energy infrastructure, manufacturing expansion, carbon reduction initiatives, hydrogen production, or cleaner fuel technologies, understanding which incentives may apply can help provide a more complete view of project economics and potential value.
"As energy projects become increasingly complex, businesses need to understand how federal incentives can support their investments. Expanding into carbon capture and clean fuel incentives allows us to help clients identify more opportunities and maximize the value of projects they are already pursuing," said Kris Huffman, Associate Director, Strategic Incentives & Capital Solutions.
ABGi USA's specialized energy incentive experts help organizations evaluate potential eligibility, estimate credit value, and navigate the technical and compliance requirements associated with qualifying projects.
Businesses with questions about a current or planned project can connect with ABGi USA to better understand which energy incentives may apply and how those opportunities could support broader investment goals.
