Spartan Robotics Introduces 7-Axis Welding Cell, Developed in Global Collaboration With Bosch Rexroth, Kassow Robots, and Fronius

In partnership with Bosch Rexroth, Kassow Robots, and Fronius, Spartan Robotics debuts an advanced, customizable cobot welding cell to bring affordable, high-precision automation to U.S. metals and fabrication manufacturers.
Spartan Robotics, a division of BlueBay Automation, has unveiled a new cobot welding cell developed through international collaboration. By partnering with Kassow Robots, a subsidiary of Bosch Rexroth, and Fronius, Spartan Robotics has created a versatile 7-axis welding solution designed to meet the complex demands of U.S. metals and fabrication manufacturers. This cobot welding cell offers high-precision automation for challenging weld paths and hard-to-reach areas, providing a scalable, efficient solution for manufacturers of all sizes.

Spartan Robotics cobot welding cell
"We recognized a gap in the metals and fabrication industry for a solution that combines flexibility, advanced reach, and affordability," said Pierre de Giorgio, President & CTO of Spartan Robotics and BlueBay Automation. "Our cobot welding cell, with its unique 7th axis, was created to fill this need-bringing adaptable, high-quality automation to both large production facilities and smaller shops looking to stay competitive."
The 7-axis design provides unique maneuverability, allowing manufacturers to tackle complex welds and reach areas where traditional 6-axis systems often fall short. This added flexibility means the cobot can seamlessly integrate into existing workflows and adapt to varied project requirements, ensuring high-quality welds without extensive setup or reconfiguration. For manufacturers, this translates to fewer production bottlenecks, higher accuracy in confined spaces, and the ability to take on a wider range of projects without investing in separate, specialized equipment.
By combining Kassow Robots and Bosch Rexroth's global engineering with Fronius's renowned welding technology, Spartan Robotics delivers a solution that is both powerful and user-friendly. Manufacturers benefit from intuitive programming and ease of maintenance, reducing downtime and freeing up resources for other production needs. For shops that may have been hesitant to explore automation due to cost or complexity, Spartan Robotics offers both standard and customizable options, making it easier than ever to adopt advanced welding technology within budget.
