Arizona Tribune - Police Report Details Famous Dex Domestic Battery Allegations

A newly obtained police report describes allegations that rapper Famous Dex punched and choked his former girlfriend, reality television personality Pam Rodriguez, during a two-day period that began in Burbank, California, and continued in Las Vegas. Police arrested Dex on suspicion of domestic battery.

According to the report, the first incident occurred on August 21 at the Burbank Hotel. Police said Dex had consumed alcohol and several drugs and was “crashing out” when he allegedly struck Rodriguez near the eye, leaving it bruised. The two had reportedly been in a romantic relationship for about three weeks.

They later traveled from Burbank to Las Vegas and rented a room at the California Hotel and Casino. The following night, investigators say Dex threw a phone that hit Rodriguez’s left elbow. He then allegedly scratched her neck and choked her, although she did not lose consciousness.

Rodriguez managed to take Dex’s phone and contact her twin sister. Her sister helped her reach hotel security, and Rodriguez was transported to the emergency department at a local hospital for treatment.

At the hospital, Rodriguez allegedly told an officer that Dex had urged her to give a false account of her injuries. She said he wanted her to claim she had been attacked by other people so that he would avoid jail.

That explanation did not prevent the arrest. Authorities took Dex into custody for domestic battery after reviewing the allegations and Rodriguez’s injuries. Her name was redacted from the police report, but law-enforcement sources identified her as the complainant. The account consists of allegations recorded by police; the report did not include a final court finding on the case.
